Our teeth consist of a crown and one or more roots. The pulp, also known as the tooth s nerve, is located within the tooth.
Dental implants are artificial tooth roots made from tissue-friendly material (titanium) which are implanted into the jaw to replace a lost tooth. The healing period is between 3 and 6 months. During this period there develops a firm bond between the implant and the jawbone.
Parodontitis usually begins with a bleeding of the gums while someone is eating or cleaning his/her teeth (or a swelling of the gums). At this point there has not yet been any loss of tissue (receding gum or an erosion of the bone); it is still merely an inflammation of the gums (gingivitis) which is easy to treat.
Since 1994, our clinic has been able to offer you an expanded prophylaxis spectrum to maintain the health of your teeth. Only intensive oral hygiene can keep your teeth in a healthy condition. In regular checks at intervals tailored to your needs (every 3 - 6 months), we can draw your attention to the hygienic state of your teeth.
